NOIR OST IMAGES

AND INFORMATION

The NOIR Original Soundtrack I consists of 18 different tracks from the various scenes in the series.  Each of them are renditions of the music heard on the actual anime.  And they all mostly excellent songs!  NOIR Original Soundtrack II has been released -- more information on OST II later.

- Copperia Hitsugi [Ali Project] (3:56) - The song heard at the beginning of each episode.  It is a different rendition of the song heard from the series where addition lyrics are added.  I find that I like the song FROM the anime better even though it is shorter because it just doesn't sound right when they put in different beats to the song.  Still, an excellent song!

- Les Soldats (2:25) - A hymn of church choir that soon beats into a sort of dark techno.  This song is heard whenever things concerning Soldats come into play.  The chants fits quite very nicely while the techno music mixes in very well.

- Snow (2:11) -  A slow ballad of piano that reflects a gentle mood.  A song that plays when all seems quite normal in the crazy world revolving around assassinations.

- Canta per me (3:10) - One of the two best songs on the soundtrack in my opinion.  A woman sings in Italian with a choir like quality while guitar plays in the background.  It seems as if she is singing in Latin, but am told otherwise.  Her voice is truly captivating and beautiful.  The violin makes for a perfect background for her voice.  A must have song.

- Corsican Corridor (3:45) - One of the song that is played during Noir's visit to an exotic location for a mission.  A slow song with a nice beat and a soft choir hymn in the background.

- Ode to Power (2:53) - A song with a heavy and solemn beat to it with a bass string instrument.  The song gives off a feel of power and is played when men of power is present in the anime.

- Solitude by the Window (3:07) - A wind instrument that plays along with a piano forming a soft ballad.

- Romance (3:42) - A slow guitar solo begins the song and soon heighten into a quick beat that is heard in the very first episode as Mireille rides on her moped.

- Silent Pain (2:00) - A girl yearns in the background while another sings out nuuuaaahh.  This is one song that I dislike in this Soundtrack.

- Lullaby (3:14) - The lullaby is sung in English and seem to be done by someone who can't speak English!  I dislike her voice, but I do love the background music with the violin.  If only her voice would go away!

- Melodie (1:57) - The most heard song in the start of the series.  Whenever the pocket watch opens up, it plays this melody.  But soon, it explodes into a rhyme that quickens your heart with a beat that you become familiar with throughout the anime.  I love this one as well, and would rank it third in this soundtrack!

- Chloe (2:22) - Chloe's song.  Played with Chloe!  Seems to have a childlike quality to the song but with a feel of deadliness to it.  Like the evil clown toy that'd poke your eye out as it winds down.  Very cool song.

- Whispering Hill (3:21) - The song that is played in Episode 12 of the Alpine hills.  The whistling in the beginning and the beat of the song along with the instrument are all very well mixed and organized.  A relaxing song that could probably be found on something like Enigma CD!

- Zero hour (2:35) - A soft piano ballad that's played when everyone died or sleeping quietly in the dark.

- Liar you lie (3:12) - A quick beat with the use of a xylophone, it isn't really good in my opinion with the guy hoffing and puffing in the background.

- Sorrow (2:39) - A sad bass instrument solo playing slowly.  Regrets.

- Salva Nos (4:26) - God I love this song.  I love it from the start to 4:05 minute mark!  [I cut off the end of the song cause it just doesn't belong with such an awesome song]  I've not heard any other song that gets me going like this song does.  The fast beat and the Latin singing.  I can't understand a word she is singing, but it is just SO GOOD!  * There is a translation for the song now, find it at Aoi's Site -- you can find translation to many other songs on her site as well!

- Pretty feelings [Akino Arai] (4:16) - I've always like the songs of Akino Arai.  In Macross Plus, Lodoss Wars, and Outlaw Stars, she sung songs that I've listened to over and over.  This one is just as good.  It contrasts sharply with the last track with its slow beat, but it seems to fit well as the last track of the CD.  Especially the lyrics!
